Site is great but VERY SLOW :( Mon 28th Jul 2003 14:48:42

my connection to the net is 115kb/s but downloading Delcampe's pages takes a lot of time, 30-50 seconds. Don't you think that 75 pics per page is too much ? Anyone has such problems like me ?

Dear Stampnet, You are right, the site is sometimes very slow. Number of images per page has been a few time ago increased from 40 to 80 in order to have less charge on our server. A soon as we will have enough money (coming from commissions), we will add a new server and have (again) a powerfull site. We just have to have some patience. Best regards, Sebastien Delcampe

Thank you but we have a partnership with our hoster and remain faithfull with them as they supported freely our site for more than 2 years.

Actually, Site weights a little bit more than 100Gig. Yes, it is bigger than it seems; 700,000 running auctions and more than 1,500,000 as total.
