i bring this famous quote from our great president, franklin d. roosevelt, to this forum to help bring back those who seem to be afraid to enter into discussions with cajun or others. i wish to let you know he is not an enemy of anyone. he is not a lover of war. he is a lover of peace. if he speaks of his experiences from vietnam, it was because he was severly wounded in that war with a bullet through his neck. i was a medic treating the wounded. and my recovery from paralysis took many months. so it upsets him to hear these words of war or threats to others on the forums no matter where they are. and given the right to speak freely, he exercises the privilege to do so. but i try to do so in a civil manner. this has not always been easy. and tempers have flared on both sides. and today i offer my most profound apologies for those discretions. i would only hope for all of the wounds to heal and for all to return to the forums as before to share the bounty of information on collecting without regard to politics, war, bad humor, or bad personalities. the world is in enough turmoil and the television gives us plenty of information about it daily. we need not bring it here too. enough said. :peace:
a bientot,
cajunsr.

p.s. - i recovered very well with only paralysis of my right shoulder and my right diaphragm, but am retired on total disability now from the veterans administration. but ol' age is making me fall apart again. :crying2:

The best newspapers give readers an automatic right to correct any error which was made, e.g. the Guardian has a Readers' Editor responsble for this, and takes it very seriously.

For Delcampe to publish a political attack, and then censor the defence or even a correction of the facts as being "political", is just not cricket (in other words, it isn't fair).

Also, does it not say above:" Here you can speak about nearly everything." ?

Sometimes it seems that rules are being made up as we go along, and do not apply to all members equally.

Cajun is NOT in favour of war. I will not bother to try to deny again the many absurd things I have been accused of.
