hi BG,
we had a japanese member here a while ago, but i think he got scared off the forum for some reason. i even communicated to him in his language via the translator i use. i lived in okinawa when i was 3 years old. however, my neighbor is japanese and if you send an image of the postcard, she can translate it for me. also put your message in french on the french site. i believe there may be a cousin in martinique that may be able to help you. his delcampe pseudo is 'naguito', but his name is andre. he is a postcard collector too. i believe he is of japanese ancestry, but i could be mistaken. but it is worth the effort. good luck.

amities,
cajunsr.

Hi Cajunsr ,
Thanks for your help.
Good Bless America :)

So what is the best way - to write directly to your cousin Andre and to ask him about his e-mail (to send the scans) or to send them to your address?

Wow,you speak a lots of languages.

Infact I also do not speak french - just check it because there are so many french users - "Good Bless the online language translators" :D
Only Bulgarian ,German and English and now I try to learn Romanian.
I hope your cousin will help and there will be no need to learn Japanese :)

Thanks again

hi BG,
it's easy if you use a translation website:

www.freetranslation.comLink (http)

it isn't the best but it helps. it does have japanese and chinese too. but it would be very difficult to do a postcard from it.

cajunsr.

hi BCP,
i am glad you finally received some help from someone. and i guess a customer is the best way. i have had many of my customers do the same for me. we sure have some good people on delcampe, so friendly and caring. and i remember this as a 3 year old who lived on okinawa when my dad was stationed there on kadena afb and we had a japanese nursemaid. she was very sweet and wanted to return with us to the states when time came for us to leave. it was a pity she could not, i would have learned fluent japanese.

amities,
cajunsr.
